I was going to just throw in the towel and say “Eff It” and not give anything up this month, but then the universe stepped in.

There was no Instagram or Facebook reminding you that you weren’t pretty enough. No YouTube make-up tutorials showing you how to contour your face. Hell, did people even do contouring back then?
New Year New Meat
. I thought I would be exploring new recipes that included beets, bok choy, heirloom tomatoes, and jack fruit. My bowels were going to be as regular as any scheduled program. I was going to be the epitome of health and wellness.
Tuned Out
So, giving up TV, in theory, should have forced me to go to sleep earlier, reduce anxiety, and have less “screen time”.
The Results: False. It did not do those things.

Looking back at the different stages of health in my life, it’s truly amazing how long I spent not having ANY idea the correlation between sugar and weight gain. Or illness. Or chronic fatigue. Or anxiety. Or depression
